Former UFC Fighter Jarred Brooks Scores Submission Win Over Lito Adiwang In ONE Championship Debut
Former UFC fighter Jarred Brooks had a successful ONE Championship debut, securing a second-round submission win over Lito Adiwang to conclude a dominant performance.
The win for Brooks headlined the ONE’s “Nextgen III” card, which occurred last month but aired for the first time on Friday. The fight took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
Brooks was able to secure an arm triangle choke submission over Adiwang shortly after earning a takedown halfway through the second round. The sequence occured after the fight had a break, as Brooks claimed he was hit with a groin shot while in a clinch position with Adiwang.
Brooks had earned a lead in the fight early on, having controlled Adiwang with his wrestling for most of the opening round.
Following his victory, Brooks called out the entire 125-pound division in ONE Championship, including the current champ.
“Joshua Pacio needs to be put on notice. The whole strawweight division needs to be put on notice at this point,” said Brooks in his post-fight interview.
Brooks was competing for the first time since 2019. His last appearance was in RIZIN, where he defeated Haruo Ochi down at the 115-pound weight limit.
Pacio was riding a two-fight winning streak from this year alone when heading into this card. He had previously defeated Hexigetu and Namiki Kawahara in prior months.

ONE Championship Announces Six-Bout MMA Lineup For December 17th ‘Winter Warriors 2’ Card
ONE Championship has unveiled a six-fight lineup for their December 17th “Winter Warriors II” card, which will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. The event, which will be pre-taped earlier in the month of December, is set to have a main event between promotional veterans Danny Kingad and Kairat Akhmetov.
Akhmetov, a bantamweight that has been on the ONE roster since 2015, enters his late 2021 booking on a three-fight winning streak. He last fought roughly a year ago, defeating Kim Dae Hwan in late 2020 via decision.
Kingad is coming off a near two-year layoff from MMA. His last fight goes back to early 2020, where he beat Xie Wei. That fight put him back into the win column after taking a loss against former UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson in 2019.
