Austen Lane Stops Juan Adams In The Fourth Round With Punches, Earns Fury FC Heavyweight Belt
Explosive punches from Austen Lane secured him a title victory on Sunday, stopping Juan Adams in the fourth round to become the new Fury FC Heavyweight Champion.
Lane’s victory headlined Fury FC 54, which took place at the Houston Arena Theater in Houston, Texas, USA.
Hard strikes thrown by Lane stopped the fight just seconds into the fourth round, erasing a lead that Adams had earned before.
Lane hurt Adams in the fourth round with an uppercut. He then followed up with a fast combination of straight punches, dropping him and causing the fight to end.
Lane was able to open up with punches earlier in the fight as well but didn’t get many opportunities to unload due to being taken down frequently.
Adams had gained a lead through three rounds, earning a takedown in each frame to get ahead early.
The victory continued a four-fight winning streak of Lane, with all of those wins coming via stoppage.
Adams, a former UFC fighter, was aiming to defend his belt for the first time. He was crowned champion in August, securing a stoppage win against Richard Odoms at Fury FC 49.
