Da’Mon Blackshear Submits DeAndre Anderson Within A Round To Claim Vacant CFFC Belt
Da’Mon Blackshear closed out a strong one-round performance against DeAndre Anderson with a submission, making him the newest CFFC Bantamweight Champion.
The fight headlined CFFC 103, which took place at the Horseshoe Casino & Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi, USA.
In a wild combination of moves, Blackshear was able to take Anderson’s back after missing with a flying knee attempt. Still on the back, he attempted a rear naked choke on the ground that made Anderson tap out to end the bout.
Blackshear had moments earlier in the fight as well, including a right hook flash knockdown that he secured on Anderson in the opening minute.
The fight was Blackshear’s second title fight in CFFC. He came up short in his late 2018 championship bout, losing to now-UFC fighter Pat Sabatini.
He was given a title fight on Friday after two recent wins on the regional scene. His previous bout was on a CFFC card in August, defeating Mateo Vogel via unanimous decision.
Anderson was coming off a flash 11-second knockout win he earned over Jose Perez in August.
Friday’s main event was Anderson’s first pro loss.

UFC on ESPN+ 56: Vieira vs. Tate
Aiming to continue her climb towards a second title reign, Miesha Tate will meet Ketlen Vieira in the main event of Saturday’s UFC “Fight Night” card. The event is set to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Tate made her return from retirement earlier this year, picking up a third-round stoppage victory over Marion Reneau. The fight was her first appearance since 2016 when she declared retirement after losing her UFC Bantamweight Championship to Amanda Nunes and dropping a bout to Raquel Pennington.
Vieira, who is headlining a UFC card for the first time in her career, will be fighting to bounce back from a loss she took against Yana Kunitskaya earlier this year.
